To begin, I love the boat scene in this movie. It shows the Sex Pistol’s infamous boat trip down the Thames river in 1977. As the band rode on the Silver Jubille, they played songs like “God Save The Queen” and “Anarchy In The Uk,” which I liked.
This scene is filled with chaos. You see cops arresting people. You see fighting. And there’s a lot of confusion.
As chaos ensures, Sid and Nancy are unscathed. Calmly, they walk through the disorder. And a calm song plays while they’re leaving the boat.
It’s a strange kind of scene. Basically, in the middle of chaos, you can find calmness. Sid and Nancy are smiling, laughing, and together. That aspect really appealed to me about this boat ride.
