Why are they holding back ChatGPT-5 when AGI is practically in the basement of hackers already? Probably because they realized that releasing earlier LLMs was like giving a toddler a flamethrower—some scorched earth, a few singed egos, and a lot of awkward apologies.

But let’s not panic about AGI stealing our jobs. I mean, when have governments ever trusted anything that could do their work for them? They still fight wars with human error and political bickering, so the odds of them just handing over the keys to AGI? Slim to none. AGI’s more likely to be stuck filing TPS reports for eternity than orchestrating a global takeover.
