The AI tools Range R and Xaver have raised concerns about overreach into individuals’ Fourth Amendment rights, which protect against unreasonable searches and seizures. There are instances where law enforcement did not disclose the extent of their surveillance capabilities, which have led to unauthorized invasions of privacy (malfeasance and nonfeasance). This has led to citizens being targeted unjustly.
